Trump goes on mid-day posting spree to brag about himself, share photos and demand the baseball HOF add Roger Clemens

With the war he started in Iran approaching the six-month mark and the American economy still beset by rising prices amid the trade wars he has started with almost every major American trading partner, the President of the United States took time Wednesday afternoon posting and reposting content to glorify himself and air niche grievances.

Those posts included old family photos, lists of his accomplishments and a call to Roger Clemens to the baseball Hall of Fame.

President Donald Trump started the uninterrupted string of Truth Social posts at 11:38 a.m. by lashing out at Democrats for not supporting the voting restriction bill he has dubbed the “Save America Act” and accusing them of opposing the bill out of a desire to “cheat” in elections and allow non-citizens to vote in American elections.

He then began a string of posts depicting the results of his administration’s effort to clean up parks and fountains across Washington, D.C., with many posts containing misleading “before” photos depicting damage to statues and other features from protests during his first term or the latter months of the Biden administration.

Next up was a Palm Beach Post article noting updated road signage leading to the wealthy beach enclave’s airport, which the Florida legislature recently renamed to honor him — and a photo of the black granite stone he had installed along the White House’s West colonnade at taxpayer expense — before several more posts depicting his late parents and him in an ornate ersatz military uniform from his high school days at the now-defunct New York Military Academy.

It’s not the first time the president has shared content showing him in the shuttered military school’s ceremonial outfits, which many of his supporters often post to imply the president has a history of military service, despite only one member of his family, his late brother Fred Trump Jr., ever served in the American armed forces.

Not long after, the president returned to posting old content, this time a 1989 letter from then-New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner praising him for a recent television appearance and encouraging him to run for president.

And half an hour into his posting spree, Trump pivoted to reposting lists of accomplishments that had been posted by supporters, mostly in the form of screenshots from X, then a series of news articles from right-wing outlets highlighting recent administration actions.

It took a full hour before Trump would post something he had authored himself, but at 12:33 pm he weighed in on the predicament of former Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees pitching ace Roger Clemens.

“How about Roger Clemens not being in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York, all because a bunch of jealous people with far less Talent, voted that he shouldn’t be there,” he wrote.

The two-time World Series champion spent a quarter-century as one of Major League Baseball’s top pitchers but his later years in the league were tarnished by allegations that his longevity and dominance were fueled by steroids.
