Castleford Tigers have confirmed that head coach Ryan Carr will not return to his role as head coach due to personal reasons; round 24 of Super League continues on Thursday August 20, live on Sky Sports

Castleford Tigers have confirmed head coach Ryan Carr has left the club.

Australian Carr, who only joined Castleford on a three-year contract at the beginning of the season, was absent from the team's last two matches due to personal reasons.

In a statement, Castleford said: "Castleford Tigers RLFC can confirm that head coach Ryan Carr has left the club due to personal reasons.

"The club would like to thank Ryan for his efforts and wish both him and his family all the best for the future.

"Both Castleford Tigers RLFC and Ryan Carr will provide no further comment on this matter."

Sky Sports will show every game of the Super League live this season, including two matches each round exclusively live. The remaining five matches will be broadcast on Sky Sports+ .
