Sid Wilson acknowledges his exit from Slipknot

Sid Wilson has acknowledged his exit from Slipknot after nearly 30 years together.

The statement remains posted on the official Instagram account for Knotfest, the festival created by the band in 2012 .

“Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson,” the post read.

But Wilson is yet to issue a full-length statement regarding his exit from Slipknot and the reasons for his departure still remain a mystery.

It comes after a TMZ report in late July claimed that Wilson’s exit would mark the latest line-up change.

At the time, there had been no word on what led to the alleged split, but the band’s guitarist, Jim Root, took to social media after news broke to urge fans to wait for more information .
