Reading 2026: Jamie T confirmed for surprise secret “33 minute 10 second” set

Jamie T has confirmed that he will be playing a surprise secretset at Reading Festival 2026.

“Reading Festival, do you think I can get on the bill at the last minute?” he said in the clip.

“Please? I’ll play any time, any stage, all I need is 33 minutes and 10 seconds.

That’s it.

Short and sweet.” The request for the specific “33 minute and 10 second” slot is a nod to his new Nokia phone tribute single ‘3310’, which was released earlier this month as the first taster of his new album, ‘ Ghosts (100 Days of Morning) ’, which drops on October 9 via Polydor Records.

Now, he has confirmed that he has secured that last minute set at Reading Festival, and will be opening the main stage – now named as The Grid – tomorrow (Friday August 27) at 12pm.

He will not be making an appearance at Leeds Festival.

Set to take to The Gallery stage at 2pm, the Brighton duo’s set comes fresh from them announcing their fifth album ‘Dead Company’ with the intense comeback single ‘Ten Over Ten ‘.

“The set planned for Reading is pretty brutal,” frontman Mike Kerr told NME .

“That’s been the theme for these shows.

It’s only 45 minutes long so that allows us to play all the heavier songs that we have.

The theme of the show is to make it as relentless as possible.” Jamie T’s Reading appearance comes on the heels of a secret sold-out performance at London’s Scala last week – where he played at the venue for the first time in 20 years and previewed some currently unreleased songs from his new album. ‘Ghosts (100 Days of Morning)’ will mark the highly anticipated follow-up to his fifth record ‘ The Theory of Whatever ’ which dropped in 2022, and the slot at Reading tomorrow comes ahead of a seven-date UK headline tour at the end of the year.
