Tottenham: Roberto De Zerbi reveals Mohammed Kudus injury update as Omar Marmoush primed for debut
Getty Sam Tabuteau 2 minutes ago COMMENTS Mohammed Kudus is in contention to return from injury for Tottenham against Newcastle on Saturday, with Omar Marmoush in line to make his debut.
Marmoush this week became Spurs’ eighth signing of a stunner summer transfer window, arriving on loan from Manchester City with an obligation to make the move permanent.
Having seen Savio, who joined two days’ prior, make his debut against Charlton in the Carabao Cup - in which he scored his first goal and assisted another - the Egyptian could make his bow this weekend.
Both Savio and Marmoush are fit enough to start the game, but De Zerbi will make a decision on their involvement closer to kick-off, along with that of Kudus.
Asked about Spurs’ two latest signings, De Zerbi said: "Yes, they are all in the right condition to play. Maybe Kudus can come on the bench. We have to see.
“We have to look to understand the beginning or part of the game, like Savio, like Pedro [Porro] Marmoush is available to play. Maybe also at the beginning of the game."
James Maddison has been sidelined with a fracture shoulder, following a hefty fall during the defeat at Brentford.
De Zerbi said of the midfielder: "Maddison has not a big problem. Just pain in his left shoulder. He's working but I don't know if he's available for tomorrow."
