Man dies after stabbing in Clerkenwell as police granted stop and search powers in three areas
A murder investigation has been launched after a man died following a stabbing in a ‘millionaire’s row’ in Clerkenwell .
Police were called to affluent Lloyd Baker Street at around 11.20pm on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service , where they found a 28-year-old man with stab wounds.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Detectives have launched a manhunt to find the killer. No arrests have been made.
Floral tributes have been laid at the scene by the victim’s family and friends.
Lloyd Baker Street is known for its expensive properties, with homes selling for as much as £2.25million in the past year.
