Sunderland explore surprise late Grealish bid, Everton still interested

Sunderland are exploring a late bid for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish ; the 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Everton , who remain interested in bringing him back to the club

Sunderland are exploring a potential late deal for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish.

The Black Cats are keen on a loan for the 30-year-old, who has entered the final year of his contract.

However, a permanent deal is also under consideration as Sunderland look to strengthen in wide areas.

Grealish spent last season on loan at Everton and they remain interested in the player.

After spending weeks of talks with Sporting Lisbon over Mozambique winger Geny Catamo, Sunderland are also attempting to sign Igor Paixao from Marseille.

Regis Le Bris' side have firm interest in the player and submitted a bid for the Brazilian earlier this week.

Talks continue to take place. Marseille need to raise funds and Sunderland's priority is to sign a winger.
