M62 traffic - live: Eastbound chaos near Huddersfield with 90 minute delays after crash
Rush hour drivers have been hit by huge delays of up to 90 minutes on a major motorway after a crash between a van and a car.
Two out of three lanes are closed on the M62 eastbound in Yorkshire, between Junction 24 at Ainley Top Interchange and Junction 25 at Clifton Interchange. National Highways said the crash involved an electric car which couldn't be moved to the hard shoulder.
Recovery services are currently on scene. National Highways said: "On the M62 eastbound there are delays of 90 minutes due to a collision closing 2 lanes (of 3) between J24 Ainley Top Interchange (Huddersfield, Halifax A629) and J25 Clifton Interchange (Brighouse, Dewsbury A644)."
Although the M62 is fully open again following a crash earlier this morning, major delays remain in place.
Since the update below, which was issued at 8.47am, National Highways explained drivers are now facing two-hour delays.
