Victoria Beckham's fashion label makes first profit in 18 years after 'dark, dark time'
Victoria Beckham's fashion and beauty empire has posted an operating profit for the very first time in its 18-year history.
The former Spice Girl launched her namesake label in 2008, making her debut with a ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week . The brand subsequently branched out into beauty in 2019, but just three years later found itself nearly £54 million in the red.
As reported by the Financial Times, accounts reveal that Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd achieved an operating profit of £7.3 million in 2025, a remarkable turnaround from a £1.6 million loss the previous year. Total revenues surged 15% to £129.8 million in 2025, up from £112.7 million in 2024.
Speaking to the publication, Lady Beckham said: "We have all worked hard for a long time for this moment of profitability and growth. We've been very transparent about the problems that we had in the business but have recovered and are now growing at a sensible pace.
"After 20 years, people don't look at my brand as a celebrity brand any more."
The Netflix documentary Victoria Beckham, released last year, charted her remarkable journey from pop sensation to fashion mogul, capturing her preparations for Paris Fashion Week . However, the series also shone a spotlight on the brand's financial difficulties along the way.
"When I started this fashion business 18 years ago, I didn't know a lot about the industry. I was scared. I was scared because I loved fashion and it was always my dream, but I knew what people thought – 'She was a pop star. She's married to a footballer. Who does she think she is?'," she said in the series.
However, after the venture plunged "tens of millions into the red", her husband Sir David Beckham stepped in to rescue the business.
He revealed in the documentary: "For her to have to come to me and say, 'Can I have some... we need some more money, the business needs more money' – that was hard for both of us because I didn't have the money to keep doing this."
Lady Beckham continued: "I almost lost everything and that was a dark, dark time. I used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter."
Speaking about her husband's financial support for the brand, she added: "If he hadn't believed in me, I wouldn't still have a business now."
In 2017, Lady Beckham secured a £30 million investment by selling 30% of the company to NEO Investment Partners, who then launched a restructure. This included tackling what she previously described as "mind-blowing waste", such as spending around 70,000 US dollars (£52,000) annually on office plants.
Since its launch, Lady Beckham has dressed celebrities including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Winslet, while her former Spice Girl bandmate Mel C recently wore the label to her wedding ceremony in Sydney.
