Annie Kelly heads to Brick Lane to hear from residents campaigning against a massive datacentre on one of London’s most famous streets Brick Lane is one of the most vibrant and best-known streets in London.

Famous for its curry houses and 24-hour bagel shops, it also has provided a home to migrant communities for decades.

For years it has been threatened by gentrification, now campaigners say Brick Lane is facing a very different – very 21st-century – threat: the construction of a massive datacentre.
