At around 5.30pm on Friday, July 22, a group of boys approached a teenager sat by himself on a train travelling between Beckenham Junction and Shortlands.
The group swiped his phone, ripping his jacket in the struggle, before leaving the train at Shortlands railway station, police said.
Now, officers would like to speak to the boys pictured, as they believe they may have information that could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises them is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 937 of 22 July.
Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
