Harry Styles Reveals the Surprisingly Deep Reason He Takes a Shower Immediately After Every Show

As Harry Styles gears up to play for thousands of American girls on the United States leg of his Together, Together tour, he’s opening up about the post-show ritual that helps him come back down to earth after playing massive arenas such as Madison Square Garden.

In a cover story interview with W Magazine published Tuesday (Aug.

25), the British pop star revealed that the first thing he does after leaving the stage each night is take a shower — and it’s not just for cleanliness reasons.

“There’s a version [of yourself] where you come offstage and feel like, ‘Oh, I’m the guy right now,'” he explained.

“I remember that from the really early days, the ‘How do I stay in this feeling — this is amazing!'” “Over the years, I’ve tried to acknowledge that is that , and I can wash it off,” Styles continued.

“You do the show, you go backstage, you shower, and all of a sudden you’re naked in this most vulnerable, almost infant-like state of yourself.

It couldn’t be more different from what you were doing 10 minutes ago.” The Grammy winner also compared the experience of performing for thousands of adoring fans night after night to being in a “very godlike position,” which he says can have adverse effects over time.

“When I was younger, admitting that it’s not really about me would have been quite terrifying,” he told the publication.

“Now it’s actually really liberating to acknowledge that it’s so much bigger than me.” “We’re all there for the same thing,” Styles added.

“I’m not guiding you to me.

I’m not asking you to follow me.

I’m saying that I believe in the same thing that you believe in, and we’re all here for that reason, which is beyond me.” The interview comes just one day ahead of the star’s first gig of a 30-night stand at MSG in New York City on Wednesday (Aug.

26), a mini-residency that will last through October 31.

After that, Styles will have just six shows left on the trek, starting with four in Melbourne followed by two in Sydney.
