Good Good issues contradictory apology for since-deleted golf ad showing a man shoving a woman to the ground

Good Good, the popular YouTube golf channel that boasts more than 2 million subscribers, has issued an apology after posting a video ad that included a man shoving a woman to the ground.

The advertisement was promoting the brand's driver in collaboration with Callaway Golf.

The video, which continues to be shared online despite being deleted from the brand's channels, showed Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark shoving member Alexis Miestowski to the turf.

"We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand," the Good Good statement said.

"We have since taken that content down.

And sincerely apologize.

Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is our mission moving forward." While Good Good's apology addresses the situation head-on, it's a bit contradictory as it states the actions in the video don't align with the brand's values, yet someone involved with the brand had to sign off on the ad before it was shared across its channels.

OutKick has reached out to Good Good for comment and will update this story if there is a response.

The beginning of the advertisement focuses on Miestowski reaching for a driver in a golf bag.

Seeing this, Clark sprints at her, shoves her to the ground with his forearms, and stands over her before saying, "Do not touch my new driver." It is quite stunning that the advertisement was greenlit and shared, given the number of people included in the ad itself and the presumed many people who worked on it behind the scenes.

After Good Good issues its apology, Callaway shared a statement on the situation.

"We are disappointed by the content that was posted, and are appreciative of Good Good for addressing this.

We look forward to working together to ensure a more inclusive space in golf," the statement shared with Golf.com said.
