The CEOs of the two of the world’s top artificial intelligence companies, Open AI and Anthropic, say the race to build the most powerful AI needs to slow down before it’s too late.

This comes just days after an Anthropic safety researcher quit his job and warned that the people building the technology “earnestly believe it could kill us all by the end of the decade.” NBC’s Aaron Gilchrist reports for Sunday TODAY.
