The Canadian pop star stopped by The Tonight Show on Wednesday (Oct.

7), where she talked about Taylor Swift being a fan of “Tit for Tat,” her upcoming “Housewife” single and more.

“I was getting a whole bunch of texts and I was trying to find it.

I couldn’t really find it.

I was like, ‘What the hell? This must be real — trying to find proof,'” she said as host Jimmy Fallon ribbed her about not watching the show.

McRae shared had no idea Swift was aware of her work.

“I never talked to her or knew that she knew my music,” she added.

“It was a cool day.

It was amazing.” T-Swift made the comments about “Tit for Tat” during an October 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show as she promoted her then newly released The Life of a Showgirl album.

“Oh, Tate McRae has a great new song called ‘Tit For Tat,’ you gotta listen to it,” she said at the time.

“Like, full volume, over and over again on repeat.

It’s just so good.” The 23-year-old is set to launch her next era with “Housewife,” which is slated to arrive next Thursday (Oct.
