The rapper was scheduled to perform at the Country Rising Festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba, but was forced to cancel his appearance.

Organizers wrote in a statement on X that they understood the “disappointment and frustrated felt by those in attendance.” In another statement on Instagram , the festival wrote that BigXthaPlug wouldn’t be appearing “due to a personal emergency.” The rapper is still slated to perform at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand on Saturday (Aug.

22).

“We are aware of reports regarding BigXthaPlug.

We are in communication with his agent and at this time, we have been told he will still be performing,” organizers there told KCCI in Des Moines.

In February 2025, BigXthaPlug was arrested on a marijuana possession charge in Arlington, Texas.
