VidCon is moving to Nashville. Here’s what we know so far.
If VidCon has always meant a summer trip to Anaheim, it’s time to rethink your plans.
The creator convention is leaving Southern California for the foreseeable future.
Instead of its usual format, organizer LIONS (which runs the Cannes Lions advertising festival ) is bringing it to Nashville next fall under a new name: VidCon x LIONS Creators.
It’ll be part of a larger marketing festival called Insight to Impact, launching in Denver in October 2026 before moving to Nashville in 2027.
VidCon won’t be at the Denver debut, but it will appear at the annual Cannes Lions advertising festival in France in June 2027.
LIONS also says in a release that the more recognizable fan-focused part of VidCon is planned for its Nashville apperance — not Cannes.
That leaves the biggest question for longtime attendees unanswered: what will the Nashville experience actually be like? LIONS says it will share details about the format and programming later this year.
It’s a significant move for an event with deep roots in Anaheim.
Founded by YouTubers Hank and John Green in 2010, VidCon first came to the city in 2012.
What began as a gathering of YouTube creators and their viewers grew into an event with separate passes and programming for fans, emerging creators, and industry professionals.
