Angel Dad takes major new role after daughter’s killing sparks sweeping illegal alien crackdown

EXCLUSIVE : An Angel Dad whose daughter's life was tragically cut short by an illegal alien, is joining U.S.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Fox News Digital has learned.

"I am excited to accept the Executive Director role at VOICE because this is not simply a government position for me, it is deeply personal and rooted in a mission I have come to understand through unimaginable loss," Joe Abraham said, announcing a move he hopes will help serve others in his situation.

VOICE stands for Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement and is an office inside the agency that supports victims of illegal alien crime.

Abraham's daughter, 20-year-old Katie Abraham, and her friend, Chloe Polzin, were killed in a January 2025 drunken driving hit-and-run car wreck caused by criminal illegal alien Julio Cucul-Bol, a Guatemalan national.

He was charged with multiple offenses after the crash and later pleaded guilty to charges that included aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.

He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

He is credited as the inspiration behind Operation Midway Blitz, a sweeping Chicago-area federal immigration enforcement operation from September to December 2025.

The operation, which was heavily protested by Democrats, netted more than 4,000 arrests , according to the Department of Homeland Security.

White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis praised Abraham as he prepares to begin his new role.
