To Me, My MCU X-Men!
The time has come for Marvel Studios to reveal the all-new X-Men who will be gracing the MCU.
After weeks of rumors, Kevin Feige came to D23 with the core cast onstage, listing them off one by one: Sadie Sink as Jean Grey , Kit Connor as Cyclops , Samara Weaving as Emma Frost , Christopher Abbott as Xavier, Inde Navarette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and finally Adam Driver as Mister Sinister.
Directed by Jake Schreier of Thunderbolts fame, this’ll be the first X-Men movie to bear the name under Marvel Studios’ banner. Feige and Schreier have been talking up their take on these characters for a while now, with the former promising they’d be a driving part of the next saga after the multiverse wraps up. That’s not to say Marvel’s leaving X-fans hanging until then: legacy actors are back for Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, and new seasons of X-Men ’97 are coming on a yearly basis. Plus, the video games are starting to feature more and more mutants after they were MIA for quite a while.
So, you can (hopefully) look forward to X-Men from Marvel Studios on May 5, 2028. Hope you survive the wait.
