The ad was seen by critics as promoting violence toward women.

One of the founders is taking over as interim CEO.

Good Good's CEO and president are out on Wednesday in the latest twist at the beleaguered YouTube golf collective, according to a memo seen by Business Insider.

Nahid Giga, one of the company's founders and an early investor, will step in as interim CEO, according to a memo shared by Alex Puchala, who leads finance and operations at Good Good.

Outgoing CEO Matt Kendrick, also one of Good Good's founders, had publicly blasted Callaway after the golf company ended its partnership with the YouTuber group over the controversial ad.

Puchala called it a difficult day for Good Good.

"Matt helped build something extraordinary that exceeded all expectations and continues to bring countless new fans to the sport." The president, Joe Flannery , had been appointed to take over most of the business operations and had been on the job only a few days when the ad broke.

Effective today, Matt has decided to step down as CEO of Good Good and Joe has chosen to part ways as well.
