Grand Theft Auto VI will present players with no shortage of unfamiliar challenges, from elaborate robberies to its revamped police system.

But for a generation increasingly reaching adulthood without much dating experience, the game’s most novel mechanic may be answering a partner’s goodnight text.

Following Netflix’s GTA 6 Extended Look , IGN published details from an additional gameplay demonstration at Rockstar’s studio .

The preview revealed that GTA 6 includes an optional relationship system that allows players to shape the bond between its protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

Maintaining their relationship requires more than completing missions together, though: Players can explore Leonida as a couple, plan activities, communicate over text, and make small choices that affect how close they become.
