Trump shrugs off assassination attempts, remarking 'only consequential presidents get shot'

President Donald Trump laughed off the multiple assassination attempts against him, remarking that "only consequential presidents get shot" during an interview with his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen on Sunday.

Cohen released the second part of his two-part interview with Trump in which the two dived into additional topics, such as reports that Trump secretly boarded a separate military jet in response to a credible Iranian threat against his life.

The former Trump critic pointed out that this was only the latest in a series of attempts on the president's life.

"I'm so nauseated by them," Cohen said.

Trump acknowledged that he has a "dangerous" job but added that he has "great people" looking after him.
