Immigration enforcement officials search Ilhan Omar's home in pre-dawn raid
EXCLUSIVE: The home of Rep.
Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, was raided early Monday morning by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), a source familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital.
The raid stems from a criminal fraud investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman's immigration paperwork, which was filled out by her late father when she was a child.
Two sources close to the investigation confirmed the details of the probe Thursday, after border czar Tom Homan said in mid-September that the progressive congresswoman was subject to an ongoing "criminal" investigation.
"Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice.
This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation," a DOJ spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
