She also revealed that her next single, “Bottle,” will arrive Thursday (Aug.

20).

The 11-track project reflects Wolf’s evolution as a singer-songwriter, sounding more grounded and introspective than her previous albums, Juno and Big Ideas .

Building on the world introduced by lead single “Twiggy,” Mud showcases a warmer, more spacious sound rooted in live instrumentation and organic storytelling.

According to a press release, Mud was born out of a period of reflection following years of nonstop touring alongside global artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and Lorde.

To recharge her creative process, Wolf traveled to Nashville and later attended a retreat in Big Bear, California, with a close circle of friends and musicians, where they spent time creating music and enjoying each other’s company.
