California should be the most fun place in America.

Try doing something fun today.
Want to put on a band at a small venue? You can end up dealing with separate rules for entertainment, dancing, sound, alcohol and zoning.

Or…maybe, but only once you’ve spent months — and thousands of dollars — proving that your harmless idea should be allowed.

The rules just piled up.
Every time somebody identified a potential problem, the answer was another law, another regulation, another permit, form or ban.
