Why WWE legend Dawn Marie is heading to OnlyFans at 55
Most pro wrestling fans who went to an Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) show in the mid-1990s or tuned into WWE programming in the early 2000s would have likely seen Dawn Marie at ringside accompanying a champion or having feuds with other divas on-screen.
Marie announced a new endeavor last week when she told her followers she would be joining OnlyFans to give fans the opportunity to see her up close and personal.
The 55-year-old New Jersey native, who is now making her living as a nurse, made clear in a recent interview with Fox News Digital she won’t be doing nudes or any kind of crazy collaborations.
COMPLETE PRO WRESTLING COVERAGE ON FOX NEWS DIGITAL "It's going to be fun.
It's going to be flirty," she said.
"We're not doing nudes, which I made that very clear.
Just going to be Dawn Marie." Marie explained she suffered many injuries while being in the ring, taking bumps from her fellow wrestlers.
She said neck injuries, specifically, have made her job as a nurse tough and that joining OnlyFans was a way to think about her children’s futures as a single mom.
"I have a lot of residual issues also from being a nurse from wrestling.
I choose not to be what I see on a daily basis – people my age in beds and never getting back up.
It's scary.
And the only difference is it happened to them and not me," she said.
"These are the things that go through my head.
You know, as we get older, we start thinking about these things, right? So, it just made sense.
