Today we go back to the diamond, hoping for another strong day as we have the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Cleveland Guardians.

At the trade deadline, the team decided to trade away players and just look forward to next year, but it seems like that may have been a bit preemptive.

The team was just six games under .500 at the All-Star Break, so it isn't like they've moved up a ton since the break.

However, they are just 2.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot, which happens to be owned by the Guardians.

Looking to get them closer to that final playoff spot is Dylan Cease.

This is one offseason addition who seems to be worth every penny spent.

Regardless of how the team looks overall, Cease has put together a very strong campaign.

He is 9-5 for the season with a 2.33 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.
