Richard Gere celebrates 77th birthday with wife Alejandra Silva, 43, and young son in rare family photos

Richard Gere rang in his 77th birthday with his 43-year-old wife, Alejandra Silva, and their six-year-old son.

Silva took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate her husband's special day.

"No one I rather spend my life with, happy birthday, I love you, we love you 🥰," she captioned her post, which included an image of the couple hugging.

Also included in the post was a picture of their son, James Gere, joining in on the hug.

Silva also shared an image of her sitting on a bench with their family pets.

They married in 2018 and share two sons, Alexander and James.

The couple moved their family to Spain in 2024 to be closer to Silva’s roots.

In 2025, Silva spoke to the Daily Mail about her family's plans now that they live in her home country.

"For a few years [we’ll live in Spain], and then come back.

But we're always coming back," she said, referring to her sons.

"We'll come back here in the summer because we have the kids at camp.

We just have to balance our lives there and here," she continued.

After years of living in New York City with Gere, the couple decided to move to Spain, where Silva is originally from, and raise their children there.
