Maine lighthouse proved to be no match for man dancing in the buff who was armed with a golf club

A historic lighthouse on a small rocky island off the coast of York, Maine , was minding its own business last week, as lighthouses tend to do, when it was attacked by a naked dancing man armed with a golf club.

Why was he naked ? What was the purpose of the dancing? And what did the lighthouse do to him to prompt an attack with a golf club? If I was a betting man, I'd say we're never going to know the answers to those questions.

The York Police Department hasn’t made the man's identity public, reports the Bangor Daily News .

ZERO BS.

JUST DAKICH.

TAKE THE DON’T @ ME PODCAST ON THE ROAD.

DOWNLOAD NOW! What they did reveal, along with the fact that he was naked, dancing, and in possession of a golf club, is that he was allegedly trespassing at Cape Neddick Lighthouse at around 6:15 pm on Tuesday evening.

He was also alleged to have caused damage to the lighthouse, which is also known as Nubble Light.

The outlet adds that police were able to take him into custody without incident and take him to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

That's good news for any lighthouses in the area.

Now, the unnamed man is known to several of the York establishments.

According to police, he had been asked recently to leave them for disruptive behavior.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE OUTKICK CULTURE COVERAGE I'd say it's safe to assume that this disruptive behavior didn’t involve the removal of clothing or the use of a golf club, since it was categorized by authorities as not criminal.

As for whether any dancing was involved, that's hard to say.
