US military plane lands in Moscow, with Kremlin claiming it has no information: report

Video captured a U.S. military transport plane coming in for a landing Tuesday at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, in a flight that the Kremlin reportedly claimed it had no information about.

Data from the website Flightradar24 showed that the Boeing C-17A Globemaster III left Joint Base Andrews in Maryland early Sunday afternoon on a flight to Riga, Latvia.

The aircraft then traveled from Riga to Moscow, Russia on Wednesday morning.

The last time a U.S.-registered jet made a direct flight to Russia from Europe was in January when special envoy Steve Witkoff and President Donald Trump 's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, visited Moscow for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin about the war in Ukraine, according to Reuters.

A Department of War spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Tuesday, "We have nothing to provide on this subject." Fox News Digital also has reached out to the White House and the U.S.

Embassy in Moscow for comment.

Yury Ushakov, an aide to Putin, said following January’s meeting with Witkoff and Kushner that "our counterparts arrived from Davos after taking part in a series of events together with President Donald Trump, including those concerning the Ukraine settlement." "Overall, I can say that the focus of the meeting between the President of Russia and US representatives was to obtain information resulting from the contacts the United States had with the Ukrainians and Europeans in order to define further steps between our two countries," Ushakov also said.
