Ahead of Ozzy Osbourne ‘Prince of Darkness’ Haunted House’s Debut at Universal Orlando, Check Out These Crazy Scary Photos

From the looks of it, the Ozzy Osbourne : Prince of Darkness haunted house at Universal Orlando Resort will be a trick and a treat for fans of the late heavy metal icon.

In a preview of the attraction that is debuting at the theme park this week, Charles Gray, senior show director, entertainment creative development for the Florida park, tells Billboard that Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne and widow/manager Sharon Osbourne were intimately involved in the planning and execution of the attraction that will make its debut during the park’s annual Halloween Horror Nights.

“Jack and Sharon were with us every step of the way,” says Gray.

“They embraced our story and creative and inspected and approved all elements from scenic design to mask sculpts.” Gray adds that the goal was to create an original story within an “Ozzy-inspired world” that would provide a fan-first experience that even the Halloween-loving Blizzard of Ozz himself would enjoy walking through.

“It was important for us to create something we think he would enjoy and to pay homage to his music and legacy,” he says.

The creative team at the park did that by using Ozzy’s album covers as the jumping-off point, then following the evolution of the rock icon’s music and persona, with songs from his different solo eras propelling guests through the story.

Among the iconic needle drops are his 1983 solo hit “Bark at the Moon,” as well as a mash-up of “Crazy Train” (which finally cracked the Billboard Hot 100 at No.

39 following the singer’s death in 2025) and “Mr.

Tinkertrain” in a train-station set paying homage to a young Ozzy’s life growing up in Birmingham, England, and riding the train to and from London.

Asked to rate the attraction from mild jump scare to 10+ terrifying, Gray teases that “there is so much to take in both with the audio and visually that the scares appear right on top of you.

The distraction scares are on point!” The experience marking Hollywood Horror Nights’ 35th anniversary will cover 45 years of Osbourne’s career, opening Friday (Aug.

28) and running through Nov.

1 at the Orlando resort.

Osbourne died July 22, 2025 , at age 76, just weeks after Black Sabbath’s final concert on July 5 in his hometown of Birmingham.
