I prefer taking family trips with my in-laws. It reduces my mental load, and my kids love spending time with their grandparents.

I prefer taking family trips with my in-laws. It reduces my mental load, and my kids love spending time with their grandparents.

When we travel as a family, I prefer for my in-laws to join us.

Having them around is great for my kids and gives my husband and me some time to ourselves.

During a family trip to Disneyland, my husband and I walked around enjoying each other's company.

No kids asked us for a snack, and we didn't need to split up to go on different rides.

We were on our third trip with my in-laws , my husband's parents.

My kids were happy with their grandparents while we got alone time.

For once, it really did feel like the happiest place on earth.

This wasn't our first rodeo I know not everyone gets along with their in-laws, and multigenerational travel has a reputation for being difficult for many.

My experience has been the opposite.

I'm lucky in that I not only get along with mine but actually prefer trips with them.

I have a long history of multigenerational travel.
