Streaming Ratings: ‘Toy Story 5’ Reaches No. 1 With Disney+ Premiere

Pixar’s Toy Story 5 debuted at No. 1 on Nielsen’s streaming charts in its first week of release, beating out strong showings for Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and Neagley .

The movie collected 1.54 billion minutes of viewing time in its first week on Disney+, equivalent to about 15.1 million views (total viewing dvided by the 102-minute run time for Toy Story 5 ). That’s the second largest single-week total for a movie on Disney+ this year, behind the 1.72 billion minutes for Zootopia 2 in March.

Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and Neagley both came down some from their premiere weeks, but the two shows still put up good numbers. Monster’ s decline was smaller (just 8 percent, to 1.36 billion viewing minutes), so it moved ahead of the Reacher spinoff (1.25 billion, down about 30 percent) in the rankings. Two Netflix shows, Wonka’s The Golden Ticket (854 million minutes) and A Different World (751 million), made the overall top 10 in their premiere weeks. Paramount+’s MobLand (364 million) returned to the charts following its season two premiere, and Reacher (707 million) hung on a week after the end of its fourth season.

On the acquired series list, American Horror Story scored 763 million minutes of viewing as its 13th season premiered on Sept. 24. The three new episodes accounted for a third of that total. With the start of fall , Gilmore Girls — now streaming on Hulu after years at Netflix — made its annual return to the rankings with 512 million minutes of watch time.

Prime Video’s rom-com The Love Hypothesis opened in second place on the movie chart with 414 million minutes of viewing. Netflix’s Unabomber came in close behind that at 407 million minutes.

Nielsen’s streaming ratings cover viewing on TV sets only and don’t include minutes watched on computers or mobile devices. The ratings only measure U.S. audiences. The top streaming titles for Sept. 21-27, 2026, are below.
