Dr. Robby returns from sabbatical in stressful The Pitt Season 3 teaser

The Pitt is back, and so is Dr.

Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle).

After his July 4th shift in Season 2, Dr.

Robby set out on his motorcycle-riding sabbatical, a journey that had many of his colleagues concerned about possible self-harm and suicidal ideation.

In Season 3, though, he's returned from his voyage, and ready to scrub back in alongside the rest of his team.

Based on the teaser above, his arrival in the Emergency Department is unexpected.

"Robby's name's on the schedule," the night shift's Dr.

John Shen (Ken Kirby) tells Dr.

Jack Abbot (Shawn Hatosy).

"Is he finally back?" "I'll believe it when I see it," Abbott replies.

Well, better start believing, Abbott.

In an interview with Deadline , Wyle confirmed that Season 3 would be taking place on Nov.

12, 2026, meaning it's been four months since Dr.

Robby last set foot in the ED.
