Costco brings back a fan-favorite food court treat after years off the menu

Costco fans who have spent the last two years begging for one discontinued food court favorite to be brought back are finally getting their wish.

The retailer announced Friday that its twisted churros will return to U.S. food courts for a limited time, ending speculation after the company teased the comeback on social media.

Earlier in the week, Costco teased the announcement with a cryptic Instagram video showing two employees discussing a mystery menu item before its name was bleeped out, prompting fans to flood the comments with guesses ranging from the meat-and-vegetable-topped combo pizza to the Polish hot dog and acai bowl.

"The Churro is BACK in U.S. food courts for a limited time!" the warehouse club announced Friday.

"Look out for it at your local warehouse over the coming weeks as exact launch dates vary." MCDONALD'S NEWEST MENU ITEM HAS FANS BEGGING FOR ONE DISCONTINUED FAVORITE The treat is expected to cost $1.49, the same price as before it was discontinued, according to reports.

Many social media users rejoiced.

"FINALLY," another one wrote.
