As the season gets underway, we want to ensure all members are familiar with the rules and guidelines for For Your Consideration (FYC) communications and more broadly the Academy’s Voting Integrity and Vote Solicitation Guidelines.
While FYC-type events, screenings, advertisements, and formal communications are not prohibited outside of the Recording Academy, certain rules and guidelines must be adhered to.

Please also familiarize yourself with Rule Nine: Voting Integrity and Vote Solicitation Guidelines from the Academy’s rulebook, which among other things reflects the Voter Code of Conduct requirement that judging be based solely on the voter’s analysis of merit.
Here are some important highlights to ensure compliance with the FYC policy: 1.
FYC communications cannot include category/field/balloting identifiers or proprietary entry information.
Example: category numbers or entry IDs may not be referenced.
