Scott Jennings Humiliated After Brutal Trump Snub
Gage Skidmore / Wikimedia Donald Trump has brutally snubbed the one-time favorite to succeed Karoline Leavitt as White House press secretary.
Critics of CNN’s token MAGA host took a victory lap Friday after the president passed over Scott Jennings, 48, to hire conservative commentator Katie Zacharia, 41, as the White House’s newest mouthpiece.
Mockery of Jennings immediately followed.
“Scott Jennings has been debasing himself for nothing lol,” wrote progressive commentator Jack Cocchiarella.
Another commentator, Geoff Brown, wrote: “Scott Jennings isn’t blond enough and doesn’t have gleaming white veneers.
Better luck next time, Scott.” Brown added in a second post, which included an AI-generated photo of Jennings with long blonde hair and a blindingly white smile, which he captioned: “After losing the job of White House Press Secretary to Katie Zacharia, Scott Jennings has hired a consultant, and he’s now ready for his next bite at the apple.” Mike Bates, a self-described RINO commentator, also ribbed Jennings, saying his lack of blonde hair did him in.
“Someone needs to see if Scott Jennings is OK,” he wrote .
“If only he were a little blonder.” Jennings did not immediately address Zacharia’s hiring, despite hosting his radio show, The Scott Jennings Show, around the time The New York Times first broke the news.
Trump, 80, confirmed Zacharia’s hiring in a Truth Social post about an hour and a half later.
The Daily Beast has reached out to Jennings for comment.
The hiring of Zacharia, a frequent face on Fox News who briefly worked under ICE Babie Kristi Noem at DHS, shocked many.
As of Thursday night on Kalshi, she had just a 1.9 percent chance of being hired.
She has not addressed her hiring and did not respond to a text from the Daily Beast on Friday afternoon.
Jennings, meanwhile, was the longtime favorite to be Trump’s next press secretary, dating back to before Leavitt announced her departure.
