Oscar Nominee, 40, Reveals Why She’s Done With Sex Scenes
Caitlin Ochs / REUTERS Oscar-nominated actress Amanda Seyfried has revealed she no longer wants to appear in projects that require sex scenes.
Seyfried, 40, said onscreen romance has lost its appeal during a panel Alec Baldwin hosted at the Hamptons International Film Festival, according to People .
The actress, who is known for her roles in Mamma Mia and Mean Girls and who earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in 2020’s Mank , told Baldwin, 68, “Our jobs are weird.
And as I get older, it gets weirder.
We have to be romantic with people that we’re not romantic with.” “Sometimes it’s great,” she continued.
“Sometimes it’s really uncomfortable.
But I can’t believe back in the day I was just like, ‘We gotta make out.
Great! This is awesome.
I know how to make out,’” she added.
“And it used to be so fun.
It was a non-thing.
It was like, ‘I get to make out with a hot person today… And they’re paying me.’” Things have changed for her, however.
“I passed on a show where I would have to have sex all the time because of the sex,” she revealed, without naming the project.
“Doesn’t matter [who it’s with]...I don’t wanna do it.
