'The View' co-hosts cast doubt on Kamala Harris viability as 2028 candidate

Several co-hosts of "The View" expressed doubts Friday about former Vice President Kamala Harris running for president in 2028.

Harris was asked during a Tuesday interview with podcaster Keke Palmer whether she was considering running for president in 2028.

Harris laughed and said she hadn't decided yet.

However, some of "The View" co-hosts urged the Democratic Party to seek another contender .

"Let’s be real," co-host Ana Navarro said, noting that she spoke with Harris about how many women remain "scarred" by the fact both she and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost to President Donald Trump.

When asked if a Black woman could be elected president, guest host Raven-Symone replied, "Not in America.

In the days after Joe Biden dropped out in 2024 , online platforms saw racist content directed at Kamala go up 525% and misogynistic content went up 2,328%." DEMOCRATS DEBATE KAMALA HARRIS 2028 RUN AS SURROGATE SAYS PARTY WANTS TO 'MOVE ON' FROM 2024 LOSS "We are not as progressive as we think we are, United States," Raven-Symone added.

"There are other countries doing it much better when it comes to women in office.

You need to catch the blank up, period." "If the Democrats want to win, but I don’t think she is the right candidate," Sara Haines said.

"Because the Democrats have been screaming for new energy, that they would need something new to combat this.

This would be her third time on this ballot from the first time when she didn’t — she was out really early when she ran, and then the time with Biden, this would be the third time." "People are clamoring for fresh energy and there is a lot of candidates – Pete Buttigieg , Mark Kelly, [Josh] Shapiro, Wes Moore.

They’re moderate, moderate Democrats and I think they could sweep," Haines said, later noting that Sen.

Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., would be viable down the road as well.
