The Guardians were finally able to get a win in the series.

They dropped both of their home games, and now must win two more in order to advance to a date with the Rays in the ALCS.

Game 3 was the first game where Cleveland actually broke out the lumber and got some runs on the board.

They scored three in Game 2, but ultimately gave up the lead and lost the game.

In Game 3, they scored 9 runs, with four of them coming in the final two frames to shut the door on any comeback opportunity.

What is encouraging about the Guardians is that all of their runs in that game came from hits that stayed in the yard.

Relying on homers to score can be very difficult.

The White Sox now have had their first loss in the postseason.

It is now up to them to find a way to regroup and get their minds ready for another closeout game.

This is a team that had no expectations and isn’t expected to do anything.
