Jelly Roll isn't ruling out walking away from country music altogether.

The interview was published on Sept.

"If God tells me to go work at a homeless shelter in Paducah, Ky., I’m outta here, you know what I'm saying? Y’all will never see me again, and I’ll be working at a … he gave me everything I ever wanted, man — Grammys, ACMs, CMAs , I’m a member of the Grand Ole Opry, like God has done it." The Nashville star has gone from a troubled past to becoming one of country music's biggest stars, with hits including "Son of a Sinner" and "Need a Favor." But now he says he's trying to figure out whether music is still where he's supposed to be.

"I’m completely sober, though.

I’m clear-headed, and I’m deep in therapy, I’m deep in my Bible, but I think that I got to separate from the chaos of the business for me to really hear what God wants to do for me next." Jelly Roll also drew political backlash this summer after guest-hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and taking aim at President Donald Trump's weight, physical fitness and approval ratings.
