I'm back from vacation, and I'd love to report that I'm well rested and ready for whatever comes as we get closer to the start of the NFL regular season and college football.

But that's not entirely true.

I'm ready for all that football has in store for us this season, but I'm not well rested at all.

That wasn't going to happen.

It was never part of the plan.

I spent most of my time off hanging out with my little one, squeezing every last bit out of what was left of his summer break.

We did it all, and I think he had a good time, which was the point.
