Phoebe Bridgers has cancelled a run of U.K. performances due to a bout of appendicitis.
Confirming the news on her Instagram stories , the California-born singer-songwriter said that a number of intimate shows booked for this week would no longer go ahead.
The run of gigs coincided with the release of her third solo LP Lost Weekend , which came out last Friday (Aug.
14).
“I got appendicitis for my birthday,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, which featured a picture of her in a hospital bed.

19), before heading to Brighton (Aug.

The shows were announced with a week’s notice last Wednesday (Aug.
12).
On Monday, she performed two intimate shows at London’s Union Chapel on what was her 32nd birthday.
The stripped-back show saw Bridgers perform a slew of new songs, including a debut for LP highlight “Bobby.” In line with Bridgers’ recent performances, no phones, smartwatches, or other recording devices were allowed into the performance and were instead placed in Yondr pouches.
