An audience at a taping of Oprah Winfrey's podcast on Thursday applauded a call to support women ike Lindsay Clancy who don't have "her privilege" after Clancy's murder trial ended in a mistrial.

Winfrey's show took place in the wake of Clancy's trial after she admitted to strangling her three children in 2023.

Last week, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict on whether Clancy was criminally responsible for killing her children.

Her defense argued that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time.

ROGAN SHREDS SUPPORTERS OF LINDSAY CLANCY, SAYS THEY WOULDN'T RALLY IF A FATHER WERE ON TRIAL FOR SAME CRIME Winfrey's guests included Dr.

Kameelah Phillips, an OB-GYN, who discussed concerns over postpartum psychosis based on how little is known about it.

Phillips also encouraged the audience to have compassion not just for Clancy but for "women of color." "And the other thing that I would just be remiss to not say is...I hope this never happens," Phillips said.

"We know statistically it really will." "It will," Winfrey replied.

"I want us to have the same passion for people who don't look like Lindsay, who don't have her same access," Phillips said.

After the audience clapped at her response, Phillips continued, "Who don't have her same access and education, her melanin, her privilege.

There are women of color sitting around this country in prisons for this same thing that we've never heard of.

And I just want to remind us to have the pink shirts and the energy for them as well." LINDSAY CLANCY TRIAL: POSTPARTUM IS REAL, BUT CHILD KILLING DEMANDS ACCOUNTABILITY, VETERAN PROSECUTOR SAYS Fox News Digital reached out to Winfrey's representatives and Phillips for comment.
