Does this signal a true rebound for an industry that's been struggling for years? Scroll down to watch Dan DeFrancesco's live Q&A with MoviePass CEO Stacy Spikes, Wednesday at 2 p.m.

It's been a hot summer in Hollywood.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" had a record-breaking opening weekend, bringing in $360 million.

Fans were shelling out as much as $600 and traveling thousands of miles to catch "The Odyssey" on premium Imax screens.

And, if you think back to early June, the horror films "Obsession" and "Backrooms" shocked — and thrilled — industry insiders by beating out "Star Wars" at the box office.

But will this winning streak continue into the fall? And even if it does, is it enough to save an industry that's been in decline for years? (Business Insider's Peter Kafka argues it's not .) Dan DeFrancesco, lead writer for BI Today, digs into the business of Hollywood in a live Q&A with MoviePass CEO, Stacy Spikes, at 2 p.m.

ET Wednesday.

Tune in to hear about the big movies headed to screens this fall, and get an update on MoviePass itself.

Spikes will be answering your questions about the movie industry too; drop those questions in the chat when you tune in live.
