Judge Jeanine Scrambles to Save Job With Cringe New Video
Anna Moneymaker / Getty Images Jeanine Pirro is apparently determined to remind President Donald Trump where her loyalties lie as she fights to keep her job.
The U.S.
Attorney for D.C. shared a video on X marking one year since Trump’s federal law enforcement surge in the capital .
“Hi, it’s been one year since President Trump’s federal surge here in the district and the results have been undeniable,” Pirro says directly to the camera.
The video then cuts to a rapid-fire montage of news reports declaring crime in Washington had fallen to its lowest level in decades.
Pirro reappears clutching a stack of printed-out news stories to complain that “some of the media still think the surge was a waste.” A clip cuts to a reporter canvassing D.C. residents about the National Guard’s presence.
“I love them,” one person says.
Another praises Trump, while others say they feel safer and credit the deployment with deterring crime.
“Now that’s what I call street justice,” Pirro says, before dramatically ripping the papers in half.
The Fox News-style production comes at an awkward moment for the former cable news host, who has found herself on the receiving end of public criticism from her longtime ally Trump.
Pirro angered the president after her office dropped charges against former U.S.
Olympian David Hearn , who had been accused of damaging the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool during its renovation.
Pirro’s office ultimately said the damage stemmed from problems with the contractor’s work, which made Trump furious.
He said he was “disappointed” with Pirro, accusing her of having “folded like an umbrella” and demanding that she revisit the decision.
