Bret Michaels cancels remaining 2026 tour dates hours after 'comeback' performance due to health scare

Bret Michaels is taking a break from touring after doctors determined he needs more time to recover from "recent surgeries." Following the Poison frontman's comeback performance at The Bowl at Sugar Hill in Georgia, physicians evaluated him and recommended he stay off the road for the next several months, according to a statement on Michaels' official Facebook page.

"We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being," Michaels’ doctors, Dr.

Abby Borhan and Dr.

Patel, said in the statement.

"He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels." "Our deepest apologies from Michaels Entertainment Group, as we were truly looking forward to the rest of this year’s shows," the organization said.

"We now look ahead and to Bret being able to return healthy, strong and ready to rock."
