USS Lincoln Set to Port in San Diego After Record Deployment

After a record-setting and difficult deployment to the Middle East, the USS Abraham Lincoln, carrying some 5,000 service members, will finally arrive home.

The aircraft carrier that was plagued by supply shortages and low morale during its nearly year-long assignment, is scheduled to dock in San Diego on Thursday, setting the scene for emotional family reunions.

NBC’s Courtney Kube reports for TODAY from aboard the Lincoln.
