Durban crash victim had multiple stab wounds, police probe murder
A man was found with stab wounds after his vehicle crashed into a barrier on Effingham Road, located north of Durban on Monday.
Durban emergency services, responding to a collision on Monday, found that the involved motorist had several stab wounds.
Tyron Powell, spokesperson for private security company Marshall Security, stated that they responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Effingham Road,located north of Durban.
Powell said the driver, the vehicle's only occupant, was found entrapped inside and showed no signs of life.
“While Netcare911 personnel were attending to the deceased , it was established that the driver had sustained multiple stab wounds. It is suspected that the injuries occurred before the vehicle accident and may have contributed to the crash,” Powell said.
Swift Private Security reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which collided with the roadside barriers and ended up on its side.
