After months of what the ANC called a ground-up approach in its search for its mayoral candidates, party President Cyril Ramaphosa will finally unveil their names.
Over 10 000 people have been identified for the 257 municipalities.
ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula conceded that with the South African Communist Party (SACP) not backing the ANC in these elections, these would be the toughest polls ever.
